About Rachel Falkinham
I am a passionate design student who loves connecting my work with my passions! I love to push myself to think outside of the box while also playing close attention to detail. I want to use my skills to help grow awareness around chornic illnesses especially for young women like myself.
While I love to create digitally, I also love the world of communication via pen and paper! I have penpals both all around the United States and across the world! I am an active part of our community, and have even been a representative for multiple small stationary shops!
My Passions
Dysautonomia Awareness
"Dysautonomia" is the general term for disorders that disrupt your autonomic nervous system (ANS). Your ANS manages all of your body's systems that you often don't think about! This includes your blood pressure, body temperature, breathing, digestion, heart rate, sweating, and so much more! If you have Dysautonomia, one or more of these ANS processes are not working like they should, and leads to a variety of symptoms!

While many of us look perfectly normal on the outside, many of us deal with symptoms on a daily basis. This takes a toll on both our physical and mental health! My goal is to not only continue doing what I love, but to also use my skills to help bring awareness to our community and share the reality of living with multiple types of Dysautonomia!
PenPals
In June of 2023 I began writing letters and creating decorative envelopes for those around me! I loved how personal a handwritten letter felt! Which then inspired me to join the penpal community in October 2023. Doing so, I found the most loving community of people I could ask for! I have Penpals from all over the US, as well as some across the world! Checking to see if I got mail is one of my favorite parts of the day!
